Beeing Together: Building a Chula
A chula is a South Asian outdoor oven made of clay, sand and straw, fired with wood or charcoal. I am documenting the construction of a large chula using reclaimed clay from building-sites around London, led by artists by Oreet Ashery and Roo Dhissou, with Rescued Clay. Taking place at Bees and Refugees in rural Kent, the film features interviews with them and Ali Alzein, founder of the site.

Conceived by Turner Prize nominated artist Oreet Ashery as part of the Beeing Together project, the film will form part of the exhibition later in the year at the Crab Museum, Margate.
